Diagnosis and treatment of Tree problems and abnormalities

Did you know trees can add 20% to your homes value? If you have a nice tree that has a problem, it is best to act quick to get it fixed. I can help diagnose a problem and come up with a plan to fix it. Problems include pests, diseases, fungus, bacteria, and many other factors. Often times people think their tree has some horrible disease and it turns out that it was really a simple case of overwatering. Often it is very hard to diagnose a tree problem, because you can’t look inside and it can’t talk to you. I combine all my knowledge of arboriculture to make sure that I am considering all possible problems when coming up with a diagnosis. For diagnosis of disease I charge fifty dollars for an intitial consultation where I will review and diagnose the problem, as well as come up with a plan to reduce the problem and hopefully save the tree. After the initial consultation if you are going to have me implement the plan the original fifty dollars will be subtracted from the total cost of the job.

Cabling and Bracing

Often trees grow in ways that, while beautiful and shade-providing, are not safe and potentially a serious hazard. This especially happens if a tree is not properly “trained” in it’s youth by a skilled arborist. It can also happen if the tree has been improperly pruned or has suffered major damage. Instead of just cutting the tree down we can often save it by cabling it or supporting it somehow. We use only the most modern practices outlined by the International Society of Arboriculture and ANSI to cable and support trees. Cables last the life of the tree and have been proven to be safe. If you have large limbs that lean at bad angles over your property or where they could cause damage give us a call and we can assess the situation and come up with a plan to make sure that the tree remains not only in it’s beautiful natural condition but that it will be safe for years to come.

Tree Planting

One of the most gratifying things we do at Patriot Tree Company is to plant new trees. We especially love to plant a new tree after a removal, so we always offer a 10% planting discount after we remove a tree on your property. When you hire us you get much more than just a tree planted in your yard. I give you a full consultation in which you can tell me what characteristics you want in a tree. Anything from size, shape, amount of shade, privacy, wind blocking, fall colors, and many more factors.
